Laser Genesis is a non-ablative laser facial from Cutera. It uses a 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength to warm the skin just below the surface, where collagen is made, while the surface itself stays intact.

That gentle, repeated warmth encourages the skin to build new collagen over time. Nothing is removed from the surface, so there is no peeling and no recovery period. The change is gradual, and it builds session by session.

Laser Genesis is a quiet treatment with cumulative results. It is not a resurfacing laser, and it is not a one-session fix. Individual results vary.

Laser Genesis is suitable for all skin tones. We most often treat the face, neck and décolletage.

It is not recommended if you are pregnant, or if you have taken isotretinoin (Accutane) in the past six months. We do not treat over tattoos or permanent makeup. Your provider reviews your health history and medications before your first session.

Laser treatment is delayed on tanned skin. If you have had recent sun, we will wait until your skin is ready. Daily SPF before, during and after your series protects both your skin and your results.

Every plan begins with a 15-minute Consult with Dr. G or one of our nurses. We look at your skin, talk through what you would like to change, and tell you honestly whether Laser Genesis is the right fit. You leave with a plan, a schedule and clear pricing.

We cleanse your skin and give you protective eyewear. The handpiece moves over the skin in slow passes, and most people describe a gentle, building warmth. There is no numbing cream and no anesthesia. A session takes about 15 minutes.

We finish every laser facial with ( plated ) CALM post-care.

You can return to your day, and wear makeup, right away. Some people see mild pinkness or slight swelling, which is temporary. For the rest of the day, skip harsh skincare, saunas and heavy exercise, and keep your skin out of direct sun.

Results build over a series of four to six sessions. Your provider sets the spacing for your skin, typically one session a week. Some people notice a fresher look soon after a session, while collagen changes develop gradually over the weeks that follow. Monthly maintenance sessions help you keep what you have built. Individual results vary.

Sessions start at $250. Your total depends on the number of sessions in your plan, which we confirm at your Consult.

Laser Genesis is often one part of a larger plan. Depending on your goals, your provider may suggest excel V+ for more targeted concerns, Secret RF for deeper texture work, or a home regimen to support your skin between visits.
